NDE has made some changes to the Staff Demographic and Staff Position Assignment reports. Unfortunately, Pearson's latest state update does not include these changes. Pearson is aware of this and has targeted September 9 as the update release date. This makes the window tight in submitting the Staff reports by September 15. Remember, September 15 is only the deadline for initial entry of the staff reports, and you have till October 31 to submit revisions.

Attached you will find the NSSRS Staff Instruction Manual that was released on 8/19/11.

UPCOMING POWERSCHOOL TRAININGS

*June 2&3 Richard James – Phoenix Learning Systems
*July 28 & 29 ESU #10 PowerSchool Conference

Mark your calendar for the 2nd annual, two day PowerSchool Conference in Kearney at ESU #10 on July 28 & 29. One of the main areas of focus will be PowerSchool 7. More information will be coming in the near future.

URGENT!!  Richard James Workshop: This workshop is limited to 20 people, we have 16 people who have indicated they want to attend, so we need 4 more.  If you are interested in attending, contact me ASAP.  Here are the details:

Presenter: Richard James has presented in central Nebraska the last couple of summers and we are trying to get him back here again. Richard was the second employee of PowerSchool back in the mid 90's. After many years with PowerSchool, he left and started his own PowerSchool consulting/training business, Phoenix Learning Systems. Needless to say, he is very knowledgeable and does a good job training people.

Cost: We are looking to just cover expenses, which comes out to $120 a day and includes breakfast and lunch. ($240 for two days)

Target Audience: This is not for beginners. I would like to see the first day be intermediate topics and the second day be more advanced topics.

Agenda: We don't have one yet. I'm waiting to get input from the attendees, but below you can see last year’s agenda to get an idea of what it might be like.

Dates: We do have a little flexibility here. It looks like it will be June 2 & 3, but it could be June 1 & 2 if that works for more people.

Location: It will be at either ESU #9 or ESU #10, depending on what works best for the majority.

2010 Richard James Workshop Agenda

Day 1 Morning
We will walk through the “Best Business Practices" such as: Recording, managing, and reporting attendance, storing grades at each term, preparing for the end-of-year process, finding information for school improvement, manipulating class schedules, and other office activities that we do everyday.
Day 1 Afternoon
DDE/DDAImporting and Exporting

Day 2 Morning
Custom Pages, Custom Reports, Custom Alerts, SpEd Pages
Day 2 Afternoon
SQL

Hello Everyone,

I can not get my power school report to pick up all my students for State Id's. Where on the NDE can I get the template?
Thanks,
Rebecca

Never mind I got it to work.  Let me share, please check your dates when running state report.  Even though I set the date to my new year of 2009 and asked for it to reset, it kept the 2008 year, so double check your dates.
