I have all my reports done with the exception of SPED and I did not have any trouble loading or getting them through verification.  What kind of errors are you getting?

I cannot get them to run in PS at all.  They all FAIL in reportworks.

Go through System Reports to State Reports

I am having a problem with establishing a connection between Oracle and powerschool.  Can anyone help me?
I can open up data on the PowerSchool side but when I open Oracle sql Developer to establish a connection and enter the username (psnavigator) and password, I get the following message:
Listener refused connection with the following error:  ORA-12505 TNS:listner does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor.
I have tried going into system - security and changing the password in PowerSchool, but it still doesn't work.  I was able to establish a connection this summer so I am wondering if the upgrade to 7.0 changed something.
I have a teacher that is requesting data that I can only get out by running a sql so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

I have built a Parent Teacher Conference Letter in ReportWorks. In the scope I clicked
on the runtime controls and selected "Use of Current Student Selection". When I run the report it pulls my current selection and then adds students that are no longer enrolled here.

Thanks,
Kami

I figured it out. When you are creating the report, there is an area where you again select the current students.

Thanks

We were upgraded to 7.0.1 on Thursday (9/8).  I discovered today that some students are now unable to log in.  They are using the correct log in and password.  Their access is enabled.  I can successfully log in to their account on my laptop using the same information they are using unsuccessfully.

I have tried turning off their access and then turning it back on.  No change.  I have been browsing PowerSource for clues but have not found any articles on this.  If anyone has an idea I would love to hear it!  Thanks
Rhonda

1 Response to "Trouble with student login"

Hi all,
Wayne sent several troubleshooting ideas which we have been working our way through.  Discovered today, however, that previously the passwords were not case sensitive, but now they are.  Some of the students were using lower case, I always use uppercase.  Such a simple thing....
Thanks!
