Is there a way to create a report in PowerScheduler that would pull incoming students' course requests ... so that each student appears on a separate page? There's a built-in report to pull the same information but it lists the students alphabetically with no easy way to print each student to a separate page.

Thanks!

I don't believe there is one built into PowerScheduler that will give you one page per student requests.

There is a custom report that does this and it allows you to add text to make it into a letter format. The report is part of the Custom Reports Bundle, which contains a lot of other very handy reports. You can find the CRB on PowerSource Exchange.

I didn't find a custom reports bundle at PowerSource Exchange. Could that be the Custom Reports Bundle from Power Data Solutions?

Yes, you are correct. Sorry, I should have verified where it is located. There are several things that are in both spots, but the CRB is on PDS. Thanks for the correction!

Does anyone have a template they would be willing to share to import the Career Education information?  I just can't seem to create one that will work.  Thank you so much!

Is anyone using a fee management program that allows parents to pay for lunch, fees, activity pass and such with a credit or debit card.

If you are, who pays the fee?  Are you charging the user or is the district paying the fee?

We would like a system that integrates with PowerSchool.

Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions.

Kathy,

The one we have been looking at but haven't bit the bullet is eFunds for Schools. The cost is passed to the parents in the form of a convenience fee.  The last time we spoke it was a flat fee per transaction of $2.49 for credit and debit cards. The system is able to split the transactions if parents want to pay multiple accounts which can be routed different for auditing purposes.  I believe it integrates with PowerSchool but we use a separate lunch system.

Anyone using something else that has a lower per transaction rate?

We use eFunds and are real happy with it.  Parents do pay the fee. It does cost more with credit cards, they only charge $1.00 to use an echeck.  We only use it for the lunch program. We may expand later for school fees. The district can pay the fees if they prefer but it is costly. We have elected to have the parents pay for the service.

The past few years I have been running the end of year School Enrollment report, finding all seniors and creating an additional record for them on the report to show them as completers (203).  Could I instead, run the enrollment report for all and then run a second report for just seniors with the 203 code and upload both reports?  Actually I am open to any suggestions that make this a simple as possible!

Thanks!

We've opened Class Registration to our students for next year. Teachers make student recommendations through PowerTeacher that allow students to enroll in courses that require them, such as Journalism or AP European History. But teachers can only recommend students who are currently in their own classes. How do you allow teachers to have access to all students in the school? We've created a course called "Whole School Recommendations," but how would I give all teachers access? Any ideas? Thanks!

PowerSchool has a new feature that allows you to tie more than one teacher to a section. It is found in the section screen. I don't know if there is a limit to how many teachers are tied to a section. You could create a generic teacher and have everybody log in under that teacher to make the recommendations.

I know some schools would not want to give all teachers access to all students' information:attendance, grades, demographic info, etc.

Great idea. I'll propose it. Thanks, Wayne!
