Could someone please tell me how to create a Flat Zip file on a PC so I can import my photos into PowerSchool?   Thank you very much for any guidance!!!!!

Here are some directions I put together a few years ago. Pretty sure they still work.

To zip the images, it makes a difference if you are using a Mac or Windows computer. On the Mac, I open the folder with the image files. I select the images I need to zip then right click and select “Compress xxx items”. It creates the flat zip file needed to import the photos. On the Windows, I open the folder with the image files. I select the images I need to zip then right click and select “Send To Compressed (zipped) Folder”. I usually rename the zip files HS Pictures or Elem Pictures.

Thanks!  I'll give it whirl!!!

Flat files do not have sub-folders so there is not a folder inside my zipped folder, only photo files.

I'm not sure if it is exactly the same for all PCs but for me, I select/highlight the photos I want to include in the zip file, right click, select "Send to" then "Compressed (zipped) folder".

Just had a teacher report that a student showed him how the grade indicator arrow goes the wrong way when he adjusts her grade. They tested it out so he could verify the issue. For example, when he changes the grade from 91 to 92, the student's arrow goes down and when he changes the grade from 92 to 91, her arrow goes up. Has anyone else seen this issue? We are on 10.0.4. TIA

I need assistance, yet again!  My students have two different grades listed on their quick look ups.  as you can see, for the most part, it isn't a big deal...but I would like to fix what ever the heck I have wrong.  Can anyone help me?  grade rounding.JPG

You have a grade scale that is set up with a number in the letter grade setup AND the cutoff percent. Your teachers have their gradebook set up to use one or two decimal places.

When you stored, it stored the percentage with the decimal places but is also stored the "Grade" value which is the corresponding number.

You can suppress the letter grade or the percent grade so the quick lookup screen only displays one value. That is found in the School Setup>Final Grade/Reporting Term Setup>Select the term and check the box of the one you want to suppress.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your help!

I have 1 student that uses the PowerSchool mobile app on an android phone to check grades every day.  As of 3 days ago his 5th period class does not appear.  All other classes are just fine.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

I understand there's a way in PowerSchool for teachers to indicate they've verified grades, and reports for administrators to run to see who hasn't verified grades. I've found verification reports, but how does it work on the teacher side? Is there something I need to turn on? Or is it a customization I need to load? TIA

Figured it out. :-) Teachers go to Gradebook > Select Course > Scoresheet tab > Click "S1 in Progress" > Check the "Final Grades Complete" box. Using Gradebook Verification Report for the Custom Reports Bundle.

I have a secretary that has entered all of the immunizations in on her students.

Now she is trying to run a report that shows all the immunizations for her 7th graders.

I am not seeing a report in PowerSchool that will do that.

Does anyone else run Immunization reports out of PowerSchool? If so how?

Thanks,
Adrian

I used to have an immunization report at my previous school for the nurse to run. I got it from another school and customized it.

Now that I think about it, I might have had a custom health screen back then for immunizations. I seem to recall PS didn't have much for health information.

Ray Bentzen .... is there still a working immunization report on your PowerSchool server?

There is one on the PowerSource exchange that works fairly well.

Kris,

I tried a few on PowerSource but none of them seemed to work. Do you know which one you are referring to? Maybe I have not tried that one.
