Is anyone else having a problem with the NSSRS Student Summary Attendance getting stuck in Report Que in PowerSchool?

I have tried it with the entire school and with just a couple of grades and it will not finish processing.

I have restarted ReportWorks and that finally stopped it (it would not cancel either).

Any thoughts?

The reason was the PS update that came out on 6-8-18 - PS was supposed to apply the update but did not - even though I reported the issue to them earlier in the week.

Aimee Muehling let me know that this is known PS issues, they released the fix late Friday. The fix came down with the security update. If you run the latest release that will fix the problem see below

PowerSchool Release NotificationPowerSchool SIS 12.0.1.0

It is now corrected.

Go to System>Special Operations>Load Server Reports

The password is solo flight

I am losing my mind over this stupid report!  I have never had a problem with it before but this year I cannot get it to pull grades for my 9-12 students.  I have check my stored grades and they all appear correct.  I have checked my Reporting Store Codes at the district level.  The curious thing is that I have students that transferred in mid year.  The grades that were hand entered from their previous school appear on the report but not 1 grade for a student that has been here the entire year appears on the report.

Any suggestion will be very greatly appreciated!

I just had the same problem with new students that transfer in with their grades appearing.  I just had to delete them. 

Can someone tell me the 4th, 5th and 6th grade PE Course code we are suppose to use.

Make sure your store codes are entered individually at the district.

I am confused by your comment about deleting those grades.  Why did you do that?

I believe the correct code for elementary PE is 080125

I do have my store codes set up individually.

I deleted those grades because they were historical grades that belong to that student before they came into our school.  We could not report them.

Are you course codes year long or by quarter?  If year long they belong all in one file like this - Q1,Q2,S1,Q3,Q4,S2

Not sure after this why they would not pull.

My teachers are complaining that PTP allows you to override a final percentage grade but it doesn't change the letter grade to match the new grade. Is this different from PowerGrade? I don't remember getting these complaints last year. Is there something teachers need to do after overriding the final percent? TIA

If the percent is being overridden then they must also change the letter grade to match.  They are "overriding" the grade that means both letter and percent grade.

Thanks, Suzanne. I guess it makes sense, but wish it would grab the correct letter grade when a percent change is made. :-P

Is there a report or way for teachers to print only the final grades for their classes in PowerTeacher Pro? They tell me they can't find a report that doesn't print all grades for the term. 

It's finals week, of course, and everyone is scrambling. We're also having network problems. :-P

Have teachers go to a class then click on Grading on Left side of screen. Go down to Comment Verification and click on that it will open a page with students Term final grade only.  They can print that page for each class.

Is there a way to search for tardies by 1st period only?

I pull tardy information via quick export for our report cards and an end of the year data file I provide teachers for updating cumulative folders using this coding:  ^(per.att;HR(A);TR)

To use for your school, you would need to change the HR(A) listing to however your first period shows in your listing of class periods.  For us, all grade levels start the day with Homeroom, so that's when we count tardies.

To do the Quick Export, just select all or whatever gorup of students you want, add lastfirst and the coding above to the search window, and it should work for you.

Of course, this requires you to piddle with a quick export as opposed to something more elegant.  I generally don't do elegant.

Thank you Ray.  Unfortunately that is what I do now.  I was just hoping there was a better way to search that I have missed all these years.  Seems like it should be such a simple thing to do.

You can use the System Reports >Attendance Count report.

You can choose a code and what period you want to search by and how many occurrences there are.

BEWARE OF POSSIBLE ISSUE: Our lunch manager reported yesterday that one of the cashier's A La Carte lunch transactions for all of yesterday did not show up on theTransaction Report. He was watching the cashier (because he was new) and verified he was pulling up photos and submitting charges. The two other cashiers' transactions all went through. I called PS support this morning and was told I'm the third person to report this happening with A La Carte version 3.0 since March 22.

From everything the lunch manager told me, the cashier was online, not logged out and hitting submit (not cancel). I checked the GLDetail table in DDE and did not find any transactions for that user. Right now, I'm trying to locate the source of the A La Carte customization to see if there's an update.

Thanks, Peggy. I just posted to the page in PowerSource Exchange. We will not be using the customization until I can be sure this won't happen again. Our lunch manager makes very little profit off the lunch program. He runs it as an independent vendor so I hate to see him lose money. :-(
