Question. Will this workshop go over the build and load process or will it be more focused toward building registration screens. Tried to email Wayne at wweins@esu9.org , but it keeps coming back as undeliverable. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

That would be because I spelled his email incorrectly.  I fixed it above.

It will cover the complete process, which is a lot for one day! We will cover the Build, the Load and the setup of registration screens. Sounds like fun, right?  wwiens@esu9.org   [thanks Graci :) ]

For those of you using Power Lunch, do you have a recommendation for a 10-key keypad for students to enter their ID?

Thanks

A question was raised after the PowerSchool Sharing session about immunization codes. Do any of you have a list of immunization codes that you would share for those non-nurses in the group who have to enter this into PowerSchool?

If so, would you make a comment below or send to me at ggillmin@esu10.org and I'll post the list on the Community as a document.

Here is what Pearson has in their documentation, but don't feel you have to follow this:

We are suggesting the following name/code when setting up the Health Vaccine area at the district level in PowerSchool. Should your state/province have different naming or codes, you would then use the conventions advised by your state or province. Additionally, should you need to split out vaccines such as MMR determine how you plan to code those vaccines.

    Name - Code

     Polio - IPV

     DTP – DTP

     MMR – MMR

     HIB Meningitis – HIB

     Hepatitis B – HepB

     Hepatitis A – HepA

     Varicella (Chicken pox) - VCP

     Rotavirus - RV

     Tetanus - Td

     Tuberculosis - TB

     Influenza - INF

     Pneumococcal Conjugate - PCV

     Pneumococcal Polysaccharide - PPV

This is basically what I used when I set mine up, I did set up two separate Varicella codes, one for use that they've had the disease, and one for the vaccine.  This seems to be very user-friendly in editing if you make a mistake in the initial set-up.  (So far, anyway!)
I've got all of my high-school students entered, but not the other sites...I have  corrected, added, etc. as I went thru the students.
PS-We didn't have this on computer previously, so there weren't any files to match up or upload.

Tanya:  How did you do this for varicella?  Our nurses want to put in something when they have the disease...we can put in an approximate date (parents usually say age 3 or something like that)...or what?   They want it to show that it was the disease, not the vaccine.   If we put it in the comments, it doesn't show just on the screen.   Any ideas to make it simple?

Is anyone coming into Kearney on 10 from the north on Friday for the sharing session.  I am having my car detailed at Quick Lube and have to have it there at 8:00 a.m.  So was either going to have them shuttle me down to the ESU, but if anyone is coming into town for the sharing session and could pick me up it would save me the shuttle fee they charge.  Any takers??

Posted on behalf of Kathy Riese...

I am going to have to put in a new server soon.  I want to go back to a
Macintosh server.  I have the specs from PS and was wanting feedback
from other users as to what they were using as a  macintosh server and
    what configurations they have implemented.

    Thanks
